1. Sir Reginald Ansett

Sir Reginald Ansett was born on February 13, 1909, in Terang. He was an Australian businessman and aviator who founded Ansett Airlines, which became one of Australia's largest airlines. Sir Reginald Ansett made significant contributions to the Australian aviation industry during his career.

2. John Mansfield

John Mansfield, born in Terang in 1953, is an Australian former professional cricketer. He played as a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper for Victoria and Australia. Mansfield represented the Australian cricket team in five Test matches between 1977 and 1978.

3. Lionel Rose

Lionel Rose was born in Warragul, near Terang, on June 21, 1948. He was an Australian professional boxer and the first Indigenous Australian to win a world boxing title. Rose became the undisputed bantamweight champion of the world when he defeated Fighting Harada in Tokyo, Japan, on February 26, 1968.

4. Keith Miller

Keith Miller, born on November 28, 1919, in Sunshine, Victoria, was an Australian cricketer and Australian rules footballer. Miller played as an all-rounder in both sports and is regarded as one of Australia's greatest sporting talents. Although he was not born in Terang, Miller spent a significant part of his childhood in the town.

5. David O'Connor

David O'Connor, an Australian landscape artist, was born in Terang on September 16, 1948. He is known for his detailed paintings of the Australian countryside, particularly the regions surrounding Terang. O'Connor's artworks have been exhibited in numerous galleries across Australia.
